Himalaya Herbals Kajal

After using Lotus Kajal and the famous - Maybelline's Colossal Kajal for a while, I decided to give Himalaya Herbals Kajal a try . .

Kajal is very typical in Indian Makeup since the ancient times. Kohl or Kajal was majorly applied by the women in India - Besides women, small children and men also use to apply it as a protection from eye ailments.

Kajal use to provide relief from the sun's glare and was believed to ward off bad luck !!!It was traditionally prepared home - Of course now you can pick up kajal from any place.

So that's enough History of Kajal - Now coming back to our review - Today I will be reviewing Himalaya Herbals Kajal. It is surprising but I had not tried this kajal uptil now -- The first kajal I picked up belonged to Lotus Herbals and later I got hooked onto Maybelline's Colossal Kajal.

So when my package from Himalaya Herbals arrived, I was pleased to see this kajal in it. After trying this kajal for two weeks now - I am at the better position to review this product --- So here is my take on Himalaya Herbals Kajal

PRODUCT: Himalaya Herbal's Kajal
PRICE: 110 INR
QUANTITY: 2.7 gms

What the company claims?
Enriched with Almond oil that nourishes your eye, keeps them cool and makes you look fresh and bright.

Ingredients:
Almond oil, Castor oil, Camphor, Damask Rose and Triphala.

Direction for use:
Apply the kajal within the lash line.

The blackest of all kajals - Swatch of one swipe

Rub it once and it fades :(

What I like about the Product:

The kajal was indeed - Blackest of all the kajal's I have used so far. I loved the texture of the kajal as it goes on very smooth on my lower lash line and even on the upper eye lids.

The first thing I noticed when I applied the kajal was the cooling effect it had on my eyes. The camphor in the kajal is responsible for cooling effect it leaves when applied.

This kajal is indeed nourishing for your eyes when I look at the ingredients it has - Almond oil and castor oil is good and nourishing for your eyes. Castor oil helps in growth of eye lashes. Damask Rose helps in preventing over straining to your eyes. Triphala acts as an anti-inflammatory substance.

The product comes in a very handy - travel friendly packaging. The quantity is also nice - will last longer and won't get over that easily.

The only thing that bothers me is the staying power of the kajal... It gets smothered and smudges your eye area very easily.

I would recommend Himalaya Herbals to work on a smudge proof kajal which would be a BIG HIT !!

How many of you use this kajal ???

Please note: Product sent by the company's PR for consideration.

  5. I'm not sure why anyone would want to use smudge proof anything on the eyes? This is a natural product and hence of course it won't have the same staying power as chemically laden cosmetics. This is hands down the best eye liner I have ever used.
