Our skin is constantly renewing itself. To put in plain words, the dead cells on the surface of the skin are shed and replaced with new cells continually. This natural cycle of cell renewal slows down as we age. As a result, the dead cells begin to pile up and clog the pores, leaving the skin dull and lifeless. The absolute best way to remove dead cells is by exfoliating. Exfoliating gets rid of dead cells to reveal plumper and younger cells underneath.

How can I exfoliate my skin?
It’s easy! Use a scrub. Exfoliating or scrubbing should be a key step in your skin care regimen.

What does a scrub do?
A scrub sloughs off dead cells and unclogs pores which could otherwise lead to blackheads and whiteheads.

How should I choose a scrub?
Your skin is delicate and therefore you need to choose your scrub carefully. Firstly, look for scrubs enriched with natural ingredients like Apricot, Neem, Walnut as these are gentle on the skin. Apricot, a natural moisturizer, penetrates easily into the skin to remove deep set impurities. Neem is a time tested herb known for its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. Walnut has exfoliating micro-particles and contains organic acids that are astringent and antiseptic.
Secondly, pick a scrub with fine granules. Scrubs with coarse granules can be harsh on the skin.

How often should I use a scrub?
It is recommended to use a scrub once a week.

Can I use a scrub on my body?
Yes. Like facial skin, dead cells also buildup on the body. To keep your body skin healthy and glowing, scrub it once a week.

How do I use a scrub?
Remember your skin is not a greasy dish! The goal is to remove the dead cells and not harm the skin.
Apply the scrub on cleansed skin and massage gently in a circular motion. Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry. Apply ice to close the pores. Finish off with a light face moisturizer.
Avoid scrubbing the delicate area around the eyes as it is very fine and can be easily irritated.

Should I avoid using a scrub if I have acne-prone skin?
