Hot & wet Hairstyles for the Monsoon from TONi & GUY

Hot & Wet Hairstyles for the Monsoon from TONI&GUY

It’s that time of the year again when you’ll find yourself grumbling about having bad hair days. The rains simply spell disaster for your mane, as they turn your hair frizzy, scalp greasy and result in hair fall. They often make your hair limp and lifeless. Moreover, your hair gets tangled and turns flat due to the excessive amount of moisture in the air. Don’t let the rains give you a chronic bout of ‘bad hair day’. Toni&Guy lists few fabulous hair dos that will make your locks drip with oomph.

Braids – This hairstyle is easy to sport andcan be used on any length of hair. Actresses like Deepika Podukone & Priyanka Chopra usually sport side braids. This one is the simplest of all, but can look very funky. All you have to do is comb all your hair on to one side and loosely braid it. Make sure you have loose strands around your face to avoid looking very stern. You can either have a single braid or two braids on either side of your head. For round faces, the center braid is perfect and for square faces, side braids are the best.

Pony tails – All you have to do is tie your hair back and using different colored scrunchies, tie your hair into a high ponytail. Blow drying your hair before you tie it into a high ponytail is apt.

Bun - The ballerina bun is the most famous hairstyle for monsoon. When you go in for a bun hairstyle, do not tie it tight as the forehead will be pulled backwards and in a way, it is not good for the hair. The messy bun for is yet another hairstyle for the monsoon, so if you are late for work/college, run your fingers through your hair first and tie it into a messy bun. You can dampen the loose ends, use some curl cream and twist small sections around your finger to create waves or curls as well.

Loose scrunched waves - Well the girls who are blessed with natural waves need not do anything. Just keep your hair loose and when they get, you will get some pretty wet wavy hair. For straight hair, generously apply on to wet hair and lightly scrunch your hair. You could also skip the ‘scrunch your hair’ part depending on the texture of your curls. If your hair tends to frizz too much, scrunch it from the middle instead of the bottom. In case you get wet in the rain, don’t panic because water only reactivates the product you have applied.

Monsoon is the season when you need to keep your hair stylish in a natural way, thus regular washing and conditioning are the best options to opt for! However, if you are not blessed with naturally healthy hair, it is completely understandable for you to use styling products. You should strongly look at the products which work to combat humidity/frizz and sustain moisture such as: label.m Curl Cream, Curl Spray, Sleek Blow Out Cream, Smoothing Cream. All share the key element of Enviroshield technology to protect – whilst the specific curl products have Coil E complex 626 - the memory retention technology which helps to keep hair curlier, wavy or even straight for longer. Also Smoothing Cream contains Mflex 3 so again – a blow-dry will last longer.
