Sunsilk Keratinology Shampoo,Conditioner and Hair Mask Review

Somehow I had stopped using Sunsilk products ages ago, I don't know why ! but it's just that we are now spoiled by choice - there are tons of brands with a range of shampoo and conditioners.  

Sunsilk only taught my attention recently when they launched -  its first ever advanced premium hair care range, Keratinology, its breakthrough in hair care innovation. Keratinology by Sunsilk is specially designed and tested to harness the power of Keratin Micro Technology, to prolong the beauty of salon-treated hair. It has two ranges, Advanced Reconstruction Program and Sun Kissed Colour Therapy. The Advanced Reconstruction Program has been tested to recover up to one year of accumulated hair damage, compared to a non-conditioning shampoo in just 5 days. The Sun Kissed Colour Therapy protects coloured hair and luminous hair colour is retained for longer.  

Advanced Reconstruction program consists of 5 products : 

• Detoxifying Shampoo : Gently removes residues and impurities from hair, ensuring complete cleansing, while preparing hair for full reconstruction.

• Express Treatment Conditioner :Penetrates the hair, gently repairing the damage; the deep softening action leaves hair healthy and smooth. 

• Hair spa Mask :Penetrates through three layers of hair, for deep intensive action; reconstructs and seals cuticles leaving hair healthy and beautiful.

•  Over night Treatment : Recovers up to a month of protein loss in one night.It fills in cracks from damage for salon-like repair. 

• Heat protector Spray:Protects every millimeter of hair during styling, for truly professional salon beauty for longer.

My Experience with the Products : 

 Shampoo and Conditioner:   

I was given the opportunity to try Advanced Reconstruction Program Shampoo and Conditioner. I had discussed my hair problems with the company's PR in order for them to recommend product better suited to my hair problems. I have fine and brittle hair. I suffer from hair fall and also have dry scalp.  

Both the products - The Sunsilk Keratinology Shampoo and Conditioner are priced 200 INR/- for 200 ml. Reasonably priced.   

The shampoo and conditioner are light yellow in colour and the consistency is just right - not too runny nor too thick. The products have mild pleasant smell which I like.

The shampoo lathers up really well and effectively cleanses your scalp. A little quantity is sufficient in cleansing your hair. 

The shampoo can be disastrous if you use it in large quantities - It caused me lots of hair shedding. The detoxifying shampoo is a perfect product if you looking for something to get rid of excess hair product buildup in your scalp. 

The conditioner does a really good job in detangling your hair and making them really shiny and soft.  I must warn everyone with fine hair - Use this conditioner in small amounts to prevent your hair going limp afterawhile. 

Hair Mask: 

I really liked the spa Hair mask - the consistency is more like a gel than the cream and is light.  

I apply the hair mask after shampooing and conditioning my hair . Applying the hair mask on you hair tips works the best.  If you wish to deep condition your hair and scalp... apply the mask prior to shampooing your hair. Keep the mask for an hour and then proceed for hair wash followed by conditioning. It works well either way. 

The hair becomes super soft and shiny after using this hair mask. Also it helps to define your hair curls if you have any. 

It didn't completely remove frizz but I didn't mind as long as it made my hair look good. 

If you want your hair to be like salon - set, Apply this mask to your hair tips after hair wash. Clip your hair and keep it for 30 mins. Rinse and then  blow dry your hair to give it more volume and bounce.

Shampoo and conditioner are really good products if you looking for products to detoxify your hair. I recommend the hair mask to everyone who wish to pamper their hair to a good hair spa session at home.
