Hello Everyone !! Today I will be sharing my Experience while shopping online on the site B.LAB.com. I was offered to shop for 1000 rupees to provide my honest feedback on shopping with their site.Before I narrate the whole story of what happened.. Here's a little background of the site B.LAB---

Brands available include Dermalogica (USA), Tha lgo (France), Babor(Germany), Phytomer (France), Tigi Hair Care (UK), Vichy (Paris), Amer ican Crew (US), Bvlgari (Italy) and Nautica (US). The company continues to build and add relationships with some of the world’s major beauty and wellness brands.
In addition to making world-class brands available to the Indian
consumer, B.LAB uses a solutions-led approach to beauty and is working
on several initiatives aimed at making product discovery simple and
accurate for the consumer.
First Look At the B.LAB --
The first look at the site and I was pretty amazed to see how well organized everything was. The Homepage is well organized to cater to its consumers. The products have been well arranged under categories which include kits, bath and body, makeup, skin care, fragrances and so on. Further more, there is option if you looking to shop for products which have been arranged according to following categories - Women, Men, Brands, Naturals, Specials.
The Home Page also features their very own blog, magazines and makeup videos. This is followed by the Editor's Pick Products and Solution Based Products which cater to specific skin type or help solve your other skin needs.
My Experience with B.LAB--
I cruised through their site few days before I placed order on the site. You have to register before you place an order -- So I got myself registered on their site on 8th November. I got a confirmatory mail of my registration almost immediately.
After I cruised through their site - I couldn't decide on what things I needed. After much debate with myself, I selected on a few products which I wished to try out. So on 11th November afternoon, I placed my order on the site for few things. Below is the copy of order form which I received almost immediately after I placed the order on the site..
Within an hour of placing my order, I received a call on my cell to confirm my order. The confirmatory call was super quick and the Staff was very friendly in their approach to confirm the order that was placed.
The Goof- Up---
Then followed the goof -up. The very next day I received a call from their staff informing me that they have actually caused a goof up on their site.The site had placed a picture of Revlon's Colorstay Mineral Finishing Powder and were selling the product under the name of Revlon's New Complexion Light Makeup Sun Beige Shade (which was actually a foundation).

I had BLINDLY placed the order by looking at the picture of the Mineral Finishing Powder and didn't bother to see the name of the product was different.
Nevertheless, The site's PR called me up immediately the next day to apologize for their mistake and informed me that the Mineral Finishing Powder was out of stock. The PR then suggested me some other names of foundations if in case I was looking for foundations.
The whole goof up blanked me out and I informed her I need time to think again which other product I should call for. She was kind enough to give me her personal number and told me to call her up once I made up my mind on which products I need instead of the Revlon Foundation and Powder.
She was very patient and kind enough and profusely apologetic for the major mistake that they had caused. The goof up was almost immediately corrected by the site - Which was very impressive.
The Outcome--
Finally after thinking and deciding I called PR again to place my order.The order was again placed on 11th November- Friday evening. I was informed that my things will be arriving by coming mid-week which was fine by me.
Again, I was called again on 14th November informing me that my order was taking time because they could not find me a proper box to fit my products in it. The staff was apologetic !!! ( PHEW!!) and informed me that my products will be shipped as soon as they find a proper box for my goodies.... GAWD !!!!!
LAST FINALLYYYYYY-----
At Last Finally my products arrived safe and sound on 16th November afternoon by Aramex courier. I had got a confirmatory mail on 16th November morning stating that my courier had been dispatched. I was amazed to see my things so securely packaged in layers and layers of bubble warp.They were also kind enough to provide me with one FREE Product.. Have a look----
I got -- Loreal Casting Creme Gloss Conditioning Colour in 500 Medium Brown Shade (for my Momma), Vichy New Essentielles Facial Cleanser - All Skin Types (FOR MEE) & Neutrogena Cream ( FOR FREE)

My VERDICT---
Even after all the goof ups... My Experience with the site was pleasant because of their friendly and welcoming customer care services. The staff kept me informed about my products at each and every stage of their delivery process.
I would suggest that they offer some discount on MRP on daily basis instead of offering occasional deals on some products of particular brand and also to stock more on products from the brands like NYX etc.
All in all I was assured that nothing can go wrong when you shop with B.LAB. You can shop carefree on this site .... Do give it a try....

ReplyDeleteOMG-what sorta goof up was dat!!! Its suicidal on their part!!! Still the timely and good packaging of the delivery kinda saved them! And heyy-want review on the Vichy :) :)
